Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Lynko Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. These terms govern your use of lynko.com, the Lynko card, and the Lynko web app.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your password secure. You're responsible for content you publish on your profile and for the lawfulness of personal data you collect from visitors via the "Share your contact" form.
3. Subscription and billing
The Lynko Profile subscription is £3.99 per month. The first month is free. Cards are sold one-off (£12.99 Essential, £19.99 Standard, £34.99 Custom). Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled in the dashboard. We process payments through Stripe; their terms also apply.
4. Returns, refunds & exchanges
Short version: Lynko cards are printed and encoded to order, so we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. We will always repair, replace, or refund cards that arrive faulty, damaged, or not as described, and nothing in this section removes your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or (where they apply) the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Personalised cards (Standard & Custom)
Standard and Custom cards are made to your specifications (your name, links, artwork, QR code, NFC encoding). Under regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods that are personalised or made to the consumer's specifications are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel. Once you approve your proof and the order enters production, it cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged for change of mind, wrong details supplied by you, or a change of preference.
Essential (non-personalised) cards
Essential cards that ship without personalisation may be returned within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided they are unused, unscanned, and in their original condition. You cover the cost of return postage. Email info@getlynko.com to start a return; refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the card.
Faulty, damaged, or not-as-described cards
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to every order, personalised or not. If a card is faulty, damaged in transit, or materially different from what you ordered (including a manufacturing defect, unreadable NFC chip, or misprint caused by us), tell us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, or after that for a free repair or replacement. Send a photo and your order number to info@getlynko.com; we will cover return postage where required.
Subscriptions
The Lynko Profile subscription is a digital service. Your first month is free and you can cancel at any time from your dashboard to stop future billing. By starting to use the paid service during any cancellation period, you agree the service begins immediately and, in line with regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you lose the 14-day right to cancel once the service has been supplied. Monthly subscription fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law (for example, if the service was materially defective and we could not fix it).
How to contact us about a return
Email info@getlynko.com with your order number and, for faulty items, a photo of the issue. Do not send anything back before we reply, so we can confirm the correct return address and next steps.
4. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or rights-infringing content.
- No scraping, automated mass account creation, or reverse-engineering.
- No marketing communications to leads who did not consent to them.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Data processing addendum (DPA)
When visitors submit personal data to your card via the "Share your contact" form, you are the controller of that data and Lynko is your processor. We will: (a) only process leads on your instructions (delivery + retention), (b) keep them confidential, (c) apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures, (d) help you respond to data-subject requests, (e) notify you of any personal-data breach within 72 hours of becoming aware, (f) delete leads when you instruct or close your account (and in any case after 24 months of inactivity), (g) give you at least 30 days' notice before adding or replacing a sub-processor, with a right to object, and (h) on reasonable notice, make available the information necessary to demonstrate compliance with Art. 28 (audit support). We use the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. This section is the Article 28 DPA — your acceptance of these Terms accepts it.
6. Intellectual property
Lynko, the Lynko logo, and the platform code are ours. Your profile content remains yours; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it.
7. Liability
We do not exclude liability for fraud, death, personal injury, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced 14 days before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
